TIn a "lenticular ceramic mural" technique invented by Wowhaus, two large-scale ceramic images are mounted on a single corrugated substrate. A series of four 10'x10' murals depict textile patterns representative of the cultural diversity of Oakland. Walking past, the murals are dynamic elements, constantly shifting and changing as the viewer walks past. Viewed head-on, the patterns interpenetrate, evoking cultural fusion in the city. Diverse community members ages 3 90 participated in glazing some of the over 4,000 tiles at a public Community Workshop.

Special Thanks to Richard Ernst, James Crosby, Bill Martin, and all the other friends and community members who contributed to this project.
