Cafe Centro Courtyard San Francisco, CA 1997

The Cafe Centro courtyard explores the potential for small urban spaces to foster community. This narrow backyard was transformed into a convivial dining area utilizing predominantly recycled materials. Iridescent pigment was applied to existing fencing and the wall of an adjoining 40' wall was painted cobalt blue as a dramatic backdrop for vines. The arbor is constructed with lumber from a re-milled trestle bridge.
